Registration
To secure your place at the summit, you will be asked for a nominal fee of £20 during registration. As long as you attend and collect your individual badge from the registration desk, you can choose to have the £20 fee refunded, or opt for this to be donated to a local diabetes charity. Please register using your professional email address.
All fees are stated in GBP (Great British Pounds).
All donations will be passed to the organising committee to donate to their chosen diabetes charity.
Please note, included in your registration fee is the opportunity to book a complimentary hotel room throughout the conference.
This can be done upon registering for the conference, by clicking the 'register here' button above. Bedrooms are limited, so we do advise that you register for the summit as soon as possible. Please view the accommodation page for further information.

Case Summary Submission
As part of the programme, we will be running an interactive case discussion session and would like to invite delegates to submit a short clinical case for consideration. Selected cases will be discussed during the summit, with presenters invited to share key insights and learning points with the wider audience.

VISA Support Letter
If you would like to request for a visa invitation letter to support your visa application, you will first need to register for the conference, and full payment must have been received.

Visa Corporate Credit Card Payments
We accept this type of card payment but please be aware that Flywire will add a 3% convenience fee to your transaction. This fee covers all costs of processing the card transaction and will be included in your final charge. If you accept this fee, you can continue with your payment. If not, please retry with a different card or reselect your payment country and choose one the available payment options to make your payment.
Cancellation Policy
Registrations cancelled before 8 May 2025 will be able to opt for a refund.
Refunds cannot be processed after 8 May 2025 and any fees from those who cancel (or do not attend the summit) will be donated to a diabetes charity.
Registration names can be substituted at any point by emailing academic.conferences@contact.bham.ac.uk please copy in both parties to confirm consent for the substitution.
It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organisers to alter the content and timing of the programme or the occasional identity of the speakers. The Type 1 Diabetes Early Detection Summit committee and the University of Birmingham’s Event Management Team take no responsibility for non-refundable travel/accommodation in the case of a changed programme or cancelled event.
